Flowers and Mother's Day card and gifts, mother's day gift ideas cape cod

Spring has arrived, and that means Mother’s Day is right around the corner! I’m always on the hunt for creative gift ideas to get for my mom, and I know my husband and his friends appreciate suggestions. With that said, I’ve put together a list of ten local Mother’s Day gift ideas on Cape Cod that I’m confident the Cape Cod mom in your life will enjoy.

Top Local Gifts Ideas for Mom

1. Cape Cod Beach Chair

First up on my list is one of my MOST favorite products on the Cape and Islands: a beach chair from the Cape Cod Beach Chair Company. If you’ve never heard of this company, your initial reaction might be about the cost of the beach chair. I know they are expensive, and you might be saying, “Is this really something the mom in my life will actually appreciate?” Trust me when I tell you, the answer is a resounding YES!

I have the hot pink Surf Side recliner and am obsessed. I’ve even used the chair in the offseason to sit outside. The chair is comfortable, durable, and stylish. It’s roomy enough that you’re not crammed if a little kid or two wants to join you. No matter the age or stage of the mom in your life, this chair will quickly become an essential beach item.

2. Neck pillow from the Lavender Farm

I sleep with this neck pillow from the Cape Cod Lavender Farm in Harwich literally every night. It’s filled with lavender buds and flaxseed and is the perfect weight around your neck. You can heat it up or simply drape it around your neck. The cute shop at this farm also has some great accessories and gift items you could give to the mom in your life, from candles to healthy and beauty products to lavender lemon marmalade.

3. Joy Street Pajamas

My next pick is pajamas from a Massachusetts company called Joy Street. The Cape Cod print of these pj’s is sold at several local retailers, including the 1856 Country Store in Centerville. These pajamas are super cute and come in a few different style options. As a bonus, you can buy matching pajamas for mom and kids.

If pajamas might not be something the mom in your life is looking for, I also love Joy Street’s beach tunic. The Country Store has so many cute items you could easily add to a Mother’s Day gift. I’m constantly finding little things I want to pick up for others (and myself!).

4. Cranberry Pedicure

If you want to go the pampering route for mom, the Cranberry Pedicure from the Beach Plum Spa at the Dan’l Webster Inn in Sandwich is a great option. And if that particular choice is not for you, this spa has lots of other custom choices. This also could make a great group gift if there are a couple moms in your life, or for your wife and her mom friends. Gifting a mom an hour or two of R&R is always welcomed.

5. Cape Cod Twist Bracelet

I love Cape Cod jewelry, but I find this particular bracelet with the twist design and rose gold a top-notch choice. I recommend the selection of this style at Cape Cod Jewelers and Artisans in Hyannis. They have a great, reasonably-priced selection of options available that you can buy at the store or online. If the mom in your life already has a Cape Cod bracelet, check out their scallop shell earrings, which make a great gift for a beach-loving mom.

6. Baking Class at Amie Bakery

If the mom in your life loves to bake or cook, this could be the perfect gift. Amie Bakery in Osterville offers all different types of classes. If you’ve never been to Amie, the food is amazing! I’m booked to do my first class at Amie this summer and know many others who have enjoyed taking classes there over the years. Amie’s classes include desserts, bagel-making pizza, chicken dinners, breads, and French macaroons.

7. Spa Day at Ocean Edge

If you’re looking to gift a spa day, The Beach House Spa at Ocean Edge in Brewster is an awesome pick. When I went last year with a friend, I was very pleased. I got the Coconut Dream Refining Body Treatment. It was very relaxing and the perfect escape for a mom looking for some alone time. The spa offers a lot of different services so you can let the mom in your life customize this gift to meet her own needs.

8. Cape Cod Nail Polish

I recently found out that there’s a nail polish designed on Cape Cod and I can’t wait to get my hands on it. It’s made by Cape Cod Nail Co. and the shades are great for summer or a summer state of mind. “Hello Hydrangea” and “Let’s Take a Shellfie” immediately caught my eye. This would be a super cute small gift or make the perfect addition to a self-care basket type gift. As an added bonus, this nail polish is made in the USA and is recyclable, vegan-friendly, and cruelty-free.

9. Oyster Bag

Is the mom in your life in the market for a new beach bag? I’ve long been eyeing Oyster Bags. They’re designed to be as “tough as oysters” and are cute to boot. I love that sand won’t get stuck in this bag. These bags are made in several different shapes and sizes and are available at multiple Cape locations, including Adorn in East Orleans.

10. Wine Club Membership

Considering that earlier this year I interviewed Cape Cod Winery owner Erika Orlandella, it’s no secret that I love wine. Cape Cod Winery offers a 3, 6, or 12 bottle club that can be shipped to your door or picked up at the winery. Truro Vineyards offers a 3 or 6 bottle club that can be shipped or picked up at the vineyard. The club also provides perks like free wine tastings and discounted prices.

There are so many great local gift ideas. If you have one I haven’t included in this list, I would love to hear from you. Feel free to tag @CapeCodMoms and @Snfenlon with any suggestions!
